The Council of Islamic Ideology organized a Round Table on 3rd February 2009 and invited to the ambassadors from Muslim countries to deliberate on these momentous developments, express and share their views on the issues together with eminent scholars and foreign policy experts in Pakistan. The Council of Islamic Ideology is a Constitutional body whose functions have been enumerated in articles 227 - 230 of the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan. One of these functions is to submit all its recommendations, on different issues relating to law, society and economy in the form of Annual Reports. The Council has been, regularly, submitting its Annual Reports in Urdu, ever since its inception in 1973. Recently, however, it has been decided that a brief and concise Summary of Annual Report may also be published in English. This English Summary Annual Report, for the year 2004 - 2005, is the first of this series
