“Temples of Korea” has recently been published, in conjunction with the Publication Support Program of the Korea Foundation. Along with featuring the 17 most prominent Buddhist temples in Korea, this book also describes Buddhism’s influence on the history of Korea and its significance to the spiritual realm of the Korean people. The book begins with a general introduction to Buddhism in Korea, with an outline of its fundamental principles. In particular, it provides in-depth descriptions of Korea’s 17 best-known Buddhist temples, which are located throughout the country. By taking a leisurely journey to each of these temple sites, readers will be exposed to a diverse array of Korea’s cultural characteristics, including traditional Korean architecture, sculpture, painting, and handicrafts, as well as Buddhist thought. The book also includes a glossary of basic Buddhist terminology.

Korean food has been appraised as a genuine, slow, healthy food for its organization with the seasons and regional specialties, harmony of food ingredients and combination of food groups. In spite of high interest in Korean food by global villagers, there have relatively few good books introducing Korean food with internationally comprehensible recipes. As part of the project "Research and Development Project for Standardization of Korean Cuisine," this book is designed to standardize the recipes of the selected 100 Korean foods by using the international system of units (SI unit) and to present the pleasure of cooking healthy Korean food easily for everyone around the world. It also gives useful tips, such as serving temperature, total cooking time and suggested utensils, nutritional information per serving, along with specific instructions for preparing ingredients and cooking.

Annotation
"This book is about the history of interaction among Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in China and Korea, and the ways in which each respective religion and/or philosopher merged the others together. Through it, author was able to learn that genuine thinkers are able to combine the three religious doctrines together according to their independent views and unconventional patterns of thought. In addition to a comprehensive overview of Chinese religious history, for greater depth of research author focused on the teachings of Gang Jeungsan, a great spiritual master of modern Korea. For the same reason that Gang Jeungsan is acknowledged as one of the great syncretists of Korean religious history, his views are often criticized as being an amorphous hodgepodge of various philosophies.

Annotation
This study examines the factors explaining middle class participation in the movement for democratization. It develops a complex argument to explain the participation of different sectors of the middle class in the democracy movement in the mid-1980s incorporating both structural and cultural explanations. Especially concerned was the author with the influence of Confucianism and Christianity and the development of post-materialist values on the political culture of Korea, and how the interaction of different but not necessarily conflicting sets of values has influenced different sectors of the middle class to take action against the authoritarian government and in support of democracy.

Annotation
Description Why was Korea separated? Why have the Koreans been unable to overcome the line of demarcation separating them over the last 60 years? Why did the Korean War break out? Many scholars studying contemporary Korean history have been conducting a detailed analysis of these very subjects. Traditionalists tend to place blame on the Communist Bloc, including Soviet Russia, while revisionists see the responsibility lying with United States anticommunist imperialism. Throughout this controversial process, Korean scholars have been neglectful of a self in dealing with these issues. Basedon historicism, this book considers at its core a series of tragic Korean historical events as civil or internal conflicts and aims to reflect on Koreas own historical mistakes and errors. In this respect, this study can be categorized as being rerevisionist. This book was written with the conviction that the Korean Peninsula was not divided by other, external powers but separated from within.
