Conflict – especially domestic – became great obstacle for development. After armistice in the country there is 40% risk of recurrence of the new conflict, but this risk can be considerably reduced, if the economy would be restored. In this number of Outcomes we consider what role plays IFC in creation of economic opportunities in countries, involved in th conflict.

With support of IFC the First microfinancial bank of Afghanistan (FMFBA) has created more than 20000 small enterprises, this has created additional income and workplaces for local residents (see 1 apge).
