On 19 February, 2010, musical-poetical party devoted to 190th anniversary of kyuishi and philosopher Shygaiuly Dauletkerei “Kudiret Rukhyn Kui Tilimen Kestelegen Bapas Baba” took place in the hall “Kogildir” of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Teachers and students of musical schools of Astana city, students of higher educational institutions, military personnel of Republican Guard (military unit 0112) were invited to the party.
Opening speech for audience was made by the Director General of NABRK Otarbayev R.K. Orynbai Dyusen, Professor, Head of Department of Dombra, Kazakh National University of Arts (KazNUA), kyuishi, researcher of Dauletkerei's creativity, told about creative work of Dauletkerei. He performed Dauletkerei's kyuis. Also, at the party, well-known kyuishi's musical compositions were played by student of KazNUA Toregozhin Nurbolat and schoolgirl of Kazakh musical school #4 of Astana city Zhunisova Zhanar. Participants of the party familiarized themselves with special book exhibition and stand “Kyui zhane kyuishilik oner” with great interest.
Shygaiuly Dauletkerei (1820-1887) was born in 1820 in Ordinskiy region, Uralsk oblast, in well-to-do family. According to famous researcher of music, academician Akhmet Zhubanov, Dauletkerei's nephew Nausha Bokeikhanov who lived in Soviet time, played about 50 Dauletkerei's kyuis.
An excellent performer on dombra Musirali taught Dauletkerei to play dombra skillfully. Supposedly, well-known kyuishi was acquainted with Russian and European music from childhood. He played Russian balalaika well, he could play guitar and mandolin.
Among Dauletkerei's compositions, one can name such kyuis as “Konyr”, Zheldirme”, “Kerilme”, “Yskyrma”, “Kosishek”, “Topan”, “Zhiger” and others. Dauletkerei left spiritual heritage which has great importance for descendants.
