On June 25, 2009 the second international scientific-practical conference “Cultural text of Astana” started its work at the National Academic Library of RK. It was opened from the presentation of exhibition “New city, new Kazakhstan. There were presented more than 50 projects of students and teachers of “Design” faculty of ENU by name of L.N.Gumilev. Asylhanov E.S., Chairman of the Alliance of Designers of Astana city, Director of “Design” Department of Eurasian University marked that these works show creative vision of the future of Astana, modern directions of medium, shape and interior organization with the glance of national peculiarities. Many of presented works won prize places on Republican and International competitions.
Conference is continued on plenary meeting “Visual and discursive in the text about city”. With welcoming speech took floor – Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of RK – Kyrykbayev A.O., professor, Doctor of Philology, Director of the Presidential Centre of Culture of RK – Zholdasbekov M.Zh., academician Abdildin Zh.M., India Ambassador Ashok Sadzhankhar.
Astana as the subject of inquiry is difficult and functional complex, which can be learned comprehensively only in the focus of crossing of the sciences. There were a lot of interesting reports on the conference, there took floor – writer D.Doszhan; Doctor of Philology, professor, Director of Research Centre “Otyrar kitaphanasy”, T.K. Zhurtbai, Director of Administration on Languages Development of Astana city, Asangazy O.; scientists of Eurasian National University Sadykov T.S.; Habdullina M.K.; architect, sculptor and designer Saken Narynov; Doctor Study of Art, professor of Kazakh Academy of Music Dzhumakova U.R.; Director of “Alzhir” museum Husainova A.H., and also international participants Nelli Bekus-Goncharova, culture expert, member of European Cultural Parliament (Warsaw, Poland); Mileryus Neriyus, philosopher, representative of the critical urbanism laboratory under the European Humanity University (Vilnius, Lithuania); Fove Andre. Ph.D, doctoral candidate of the Institute of Political Sciences Sorbonne (France, Paris), Mateush Laskovsky, Ph.D, doctoral candidate of the Institute of Social Anthropology by name of Maks Planka, Gale (Germany).
In the second part of the conference there was discussion “National in architecture: discussion of experts and dilettantes”.Book exhibition “Altyn torim-Astanam” was held especially for the conference. Also there was presented exposition from the collection of Museum of history of political repressions “Prisoners of Alzhir” and creative works: sculptures of Honored Worker of Culture of RK, professor Batanov T.B., models of complex “Palace of the sun in Astana” and road interchange in capital, made on the project of the famous sculptor Saken Narynov, and also works of architect-designer L.Ermolenko from white clay.
On June 26, the conference continues its work at ENU by name of L.N.Gumilev.
