In the interview to journalists Maryanna Teks Choldin noted, that it is great joy for her, that the project " One book, one Chicago " found continuation in Kazakhstan. In fact the action " One country-one the book " here will begin soon. She wished to all people of Kazakhstan to read many interesting, different books and during the action to lead a lot of alive discussions in which different opinions would be sounded. Maryanna Teks Choldin, professor of Illinois University (USA), one of the organizers of the Action in Chicago took part in work of the international Congress of reading which passed in April of this year in Astana. We remind, that the idea of the project " One country - one book " is based on library projects widely known in the USA " One book, one Chicago " and " If all Seattle reads one book " when the whole city reads the same book at one time.
