The exhibition devoted to creativity of M.O.Auezov

Within the limits of the action «One country – one book» in National academic library RK works an exhibition devoted to creativity of M.O.Auezov. Here are presented more than hundred editions, journal articles and proceedings which open M.O.Auezov's many-sided talent, his creative and a course of life.

The special accent is made on disclosing of history of creation of story by M.O.Auezov ‘Lihaja godina (The Dashing time)” in which have laid down the basis materials of revolt in 1916. In this plan attracts a big attention L.Auezova's book “History of Kazakhstan in M.Auezov's creativity (on materials of an epopee “Put' Abaja” (the Way of Abai) and “Lihaja Godina” (the Dashing time) (Almaty: Sanat, 2001). In L.Auezova's book are covered the problems of studying and the publication of a literary and scientific heritage of the father – the great writer – Muhtar Auezov. In the process of the analysis of Muhtar Auezov's creativity uses L.Auezova the big historical material from personal archive of the writer where the image of a life and a life of the Kazakh people, private world of the heroes of Muhtar Auezov integrally connects with forward development of history, origin of progressive tendencies, many of which have not lost the urgency to this day. L.Auezova's book is informative for the modern reader as in understanding of creativity of Muhtar Auezov, so in the comprehension of the important problems of history of Kazakhstan.

We wish to pay attention of readers to the author's abstract of dissertation “The Art and Historical truth in M.O.Auezov's stories “Lihaja Godina (the Dashing time)” and “Vystrel na perevale (the Shot on pass)” (Almaty, 1992). The author: Zhurtbaev T.K. - the professor, the Doctor of Philology, the director of the Centre of science “Otyrar kitaphanasy”. Scientific work is constructed on parallels and comparisons of art texts of stories «Dashing time» and «the Shot on pass» with archival materials, publications, and also with memoirs of direct participants and witnesses of the investigated events, written down by the author. It gave the chance for detailed studying of the period, has allowed to introduce important amendments in its estimations, closely to connect the art and historical truth with M.Auezov's personal destiny, to make out the reasons of an estimation of popular uprising through art and world view perception of the writer.

Among the new books devoted to the vital and creative way of M.O.Auezov are presented two editions by N.Anastasev “Muhtar Auezov” (from a series “Life of remarkable people” Moscow: Molodaja Gvardija, 2006) and “Tragedy of triupher: Muhtar Auezov – destiny of the book” (Almaty: Atamura, 2007). N.A.Anastasev - known for the works about creativity of the largest writers of the West, has addressed nowadays to one of the brightest figures of the East – M.O.Auezov. The destiny of Muhtar Auezov – the author of world-wide well-known trilogy about Abai is a tragedy of a triumpher. The outstanding representative of the first generation of the Kazakh intellectuals, the person who has surprisingly connected in the life different epochs of a national life, Muhtar Auezov has worried with the compatriots the happiness of awakening to historical creativity, and the charm of revolutionary romanticism, and sobering horror of Stalin camps. The artist and the totalitarian power, formation of language and original national culture, creative dialogue of Great steppe and Europe, so organic described on pages of books of Auezov, - are the mutually crossed themes of the book of N.A.Anastasev, devoted to M.O.Auezov.

Among new expositions of the exhibition it can be underlined such books as “Mukhtartanu” – the authors: E. Kuzembayev, U. Kuzembayev, Z.Kuzembayev (Almaty: Economica, 2007), “Alash zhane Auezov (materials of international scientific-theoretical conference ) (Almaty: Zhazushy, 2007)”, the collection “Historic figures” (Almatykitap, 2007). The collection included biographies more than 250 best representatives of the Kazakh people.


Historical features of story “Lihaja godina (Dashing time)” by Muhtar Auezov

On September, 25th there was read the lecture Features of historical method in the story “Lihaja godina (Dashing time)” by Muhtar Auezov for students and pupils of Astana in the National academic library of RK. The lecturer – Zhurtbai Tursyn Kudakeldievich – the writer, the Doctor of Philology, the professor, the director of the Centre of science "Library Otyrar" at ENU of L.N.Gumilyov.

In 1992 Tursyn Kudakeldievich wrote the dissertation “Literary and historical truth in the stories by Muhtar Auezov “Lihaja godina (Dashing time)” and “Vystrel na perevale (A shot on pass)” (Almaty,1992). Scientific work is constructed on parallels and comparisons of art texts of stories “Lihaja godina (Dashing time)” and “Vystrel na perevale (the Shot on pass)” with archival materials, publications, and also with memoirs of direct participants and witnesses of the investigated events, written down by the author.
