With the great pleasure I congratulate the staff of NAB RK with the first jubilee of library. I am the reader of various libraries in different cities of former Soviet Union more than 50 years, and I can point out that your library doesn't give in to service level, technical equipment, kind relation to readers, and frequently exceeds the best libraries of Moscow.

I use virtual bibliographic services of libraries during two years. And I addressed to such service in your library in October-November, 2008, to find Oil Encyclopedia of Kazakhstan. Unfortunately, there was not such book in the collections of NAB RK. But specialists of the Virtual Reference Service were so kind that made added search on catalogues of other libraries of Kazakhstan. We found this book and reached agreement to do partial copy needed book in the limits of volume which doesn't broke copyright. Thank a lot for professional, operative, irrefragable and nonformal order realization of remote user.

While on the subject of convenience, advantages and merits of the Virtual Reference Service of your library, first I want to point out that its creation during period and according to the modern service is doubtless a great merit of the administration of the library, creators of Virtual Reference Service and all its personnel. Virtual Reference Service is the really convenient and operative, modern and economic for every reader of library.

About library collection. I saw the metadata presented on the site of NAB RK. I can point out as the professional that to the number of objects in account, and to the theme, the collection of your library in my field of specialization, are really enough and show the all spectrum of special literature published in Russian language on geology, minerals not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but in other countries.

I should point out the advantages of your library. It is the business style of its design, search system, and three languages of given information, and following the classic proportions in the information volume from one search level to another. To say with very simple words, its creators are!!! That's why after visiting site of your library I recommended it to my colleagues.

About my attitude to reading. Unfortunately, now such very important questions not only heard seldom but do not exist in the mind of people. For me the day without reading even two pages of nonofficial literature – imperfect day.

I want once more congratulate all personnel of NAB RK with 5-year anniversary. With all my heart wish all personnel of NAB RK strong health, prosperity, family and individual happiness, satisfaction from lovely work. I wish Library many years of effective work for people of Kazakhstan, prosperity and development for your Great Country!

Rephrasing one Eastern proverb, I want to say: “Happy such countries and people who have a lot of books and children's laugh, and unhappy such who has a lot of dust and despondency”.
