Opening of Kazakh literature and culture Center in Uzbekistan

In a frame of Uzbekistan’s Year in Kazakhstan in National library of Uzbekistan named after A. Navoi held ceremonial opening of Kazakh literature and culture Center. 
Aim of international project is propaganda of Kazakh nation’s history and culture, its traditions and customs, modern state’s achievements in economic, political, social spheres and literary richness of classical and modern prose and poetry.
National library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi is the largest storage of handwritings, printed editions and fine works of printing art in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was based on 1870. Its fund contains of 10 million units. The library is the largest collection of handwritings and printed works in Uzbek language as well as leading scientific center in area of librarianship and bibliography.
In the opening ceremony attended representatives of Kazakhstan Embassy in Uzbekistan, Head of National library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi Abduazizov Alisher Abdushukurovich, workers of National academic library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, creative intelligence, library’s workers, mass media etc. 
In Center was presented books of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, dedicated to his activity, role in international political scene as well as works of outstanding Kazakh writers in Kazakh, Russian and English. In total, to the library will be donated 200 books. Undoubtedly, these books call interest in Uzbek readers and desire to make acquaintance closely with a cultural wealth of Kazakh people.
Since 2016 National academic library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana has been realizing international project by opening Kazakh literature and culture Centers in National libraries of foreign states. Nowadays in 28 states of world were opened and is functioning Сenters in states such as Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Finland, Hungary, Russian Federation, Armenia, Malaysia, Turkey, People’s Republic of China, Georgia, France, Japan, Sweden, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Spain etc. 
Center of Kazakh literature and culture was opened with assistance of Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
