The Embassy of Hungary to the Republic of Kazakhstan in conjunction with the Embassy of Poland to the Republic of Kazakhstan organized the “Visegrad Group and Central Asia” round table on May 23rd in the premises of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. KazakhexpertssuchasUniversities’teachers, representatives of the Ministry of foreign affairs, Library of the Fist President – Leader of the Nation, Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diplomatic corps as well as the invited specialists – deputy director general of the Institute of foreign affairs and trade of Hungary professor Mr. László Vasa and President of the Polish Association of the Political Sciences professor Mr. ArkadiuszŻukowski took part in the round table’s session.
Mr. Vasa and Mr. Żukowski presented the reports sharing the Visegrad’s experience of practices and interregional cooperation. From the Kazakh side senior researcher of the Kazakhstan Institute of the Strategic Studies Ms. AnastasiyaReshetniak, deputy director of the Library of the First President – Leader of the Nation Ms. KaipovaBotagoz and senior researcher of the Library Ms. Berdagulova Sagintay delivered the presentations. Experts exchanged their views on the cooperation between both our regions and countries as well as on the further collaboration prospects and the current ties’ development. The round table’s participants emphasized importance of the first historical meeting of the Visegrad’s and Central Asian foreign ministers whichwas held on February 27th in Budapest initiated by Hungary currently presiding over the Visegrad Group.
